On Wednesday, September 30th in collaboration with Black Voters Matter, CEEJH Inc’s Dr. Vivek R. will join us for a virtual livestream release of the Air Quality Report MCAP has paired with them to produce. Learn more about the quality of the air our families are breathing in Southwest Memphis and what you can do about it.
Thursday, October 1st MCAP will host a community meeting at Jerusalem MB Church located at 1761 W. Shelby Dr. Memphis, TN 38109, doors open at 5:30pm. We’ll be joined by elected officials, Rep. Justin J. Pearson and Memphis City Councilman JB Smiley who will discuss their positions on the proposed data center regulation that the City of Memphis City Council will vote on October 6th.
October 2nd, in collaboration with Memphis Artists for Change, Youth Action Network, Black Voters Matter, Young Gifted & Green, Protect our Aquifer and others, we will gather to express the necessity of a moratorium on toxic data centers. It’s an open forum and we want to hear from YOU! Meet us at 1023 Mississippi Blvd. Memphis, TN at 5:30 PM.
We will Rally & March to the Memphis City Council on October 6th ahead of the data center moratorium vote, meet us at 3:00pm at Fourth Bluff Park!
